Homecoming/First Outing as a family

I'm sorry I haven't been blogging lately. I'm sort of hunkered down preparing for possible "life storms". We are SO happy to have daddy back safe from deployment and are now focusing on finishing up our adoption AND moving to New York. Crazy right? 6 weeks to digest, organize, clean, pack, sell our current home and wait for on post housing to open up. Praying for perfect timing in all of the above.

Below is our homecoming video. To be honest, I was very emotional that entire day. Nervous to see him again, nauseous with too much anxiety, and teary-eyed that I/we (personally and both as a couple) had "made it" to the end of another beast. When we arrived at the meeting point, there was over an hour of extra waiting due to a luggage issue. So that sort of ruined the momentum we had building up. The delay pushed everyone into bedtime, kids were running around just barely hanging in there.. mom's/wives were just holding their breath. It's hard to explain.. you just don't let yourself get sucked up in the moment because a lot could still happen. I was just grateful we didn't have to load the kids back up and go home to wait for a middle of the night homecoming!

Also, I bought C a car. :) Pretty stoked about my decision making (and price negotiating) and secret keeping skills. But seriously, don't trust me with anything super important.. keeping secrets from C is hard! Ha! Here's the "hello" and the "here's your car" video:

Next up on the "catch up" list- we had our first outing this past weekend. Through some friend connections and awesome people, we were able to take everyone to an Anthem Lights Concert. If you don't know who they are, you're seriously missing out. YouTube them and you'll be on there for hours. :) Great guys and even better when you meet them in person.

Here's the video of our night out:

Sorry the sound is kind of quiet. I did it all on from my phone during nap time, so it all seemed louder then. Thanks again to everyone who made all that happen. It was epic.

We are all doing great, finding our new groove with dad back... getting ready to start another homeschool year and of course all that I said above. So pray for us if you get a quick moment, email us a word or two of encouragement and I'll let you know how it all goes on the flip side!

Thanks for reading!
